Acquaresi mine (Iglesias, Carbonia - Iglesias Province).

Description:

Acquaresi is a lead and zinc mine.

History:

1870: Discovered by Soc. Gonnesa Mining Limited.

1930: Soc. Vieille Montagne.

1940: Mass production; the mineral was transported to Cala Domestica port to be shipped to Carloforte.

Now Acquaresi mine is headquarter of Igea spa.
