Guzzurra mine (Lula, Nuoro Province).

Description:

Guzzurra is an old lead and silver mine.

History:

1867: first mining activity by Ditta Marsigliese.

1870: Company build the first washing station in Sardinia; it's so called Su Baracconi.

1913: mining concession to Soc. Gennamari Ingurtosu. The mineral was transported to La Caletta port (Siniscola, Nu) to be shipped.

1960: mining concession to Soc. RIMISA.

Today Guzzura mine is abandoned; there are remains of the washing station and other buildings.
