Monte Zippiri mine (Villasor-Vallermosa, Medio Campidano Province).

Description:

Monte Zippiri is a lead, silver and zinc mine.

History:

1868: mining concession to Gonnesa Mining Company Limited ; the Company built a washing station.

1883: mining concession to Mancosu heirs;

1911: mining concession to Ing. Piga.

During the World War II, English army stayed at Monte Zippiri.

Today, Monte Zippiri mine is abandoned; in this area there is a farm.
