This is a very special trip to two of the most important mines of Sardinia: Montevecchio and Ingurtosu. The two mines are sited north of the Gulf of Oristano on the Costa Verde (the Green Coast).
This is an occasion to fully relish and appreciate the stunning combinations proffered by nature and man's workings: mines and plant of the three main sites (Montevecchio, Ingurtosu and Gennamari); ecological beauties such as the Dunes of Piscinas and Arcu Entu, home of Sardinia's own deer; geological gems such as the great mineral vein of Montevecchio and the volcanic nature of Arcu Entu. If you wish to visit the two mines the trip should last half a day (four to five hours) but a full day's outing to include a visit to the Amsicora Shaft, half way between Montevecchio and Ingurtosu, and the lunch in the Agriturismo Gragonti, a transformation of the buildings of the old farm of Ingurtosu mine, established by Lord Brassey at the beginning of the XX century. | Add this offering to your chart: Check your chart Back to the catalogue Check the discounts |
